About Me
I’ve been sewing almost all my life. My big sister Jacquie taught me how to make a dress when I was in 6th grade and together, we shared a lifelong love for fabric and sewing.
Over the years I kept up my sewing skills but did not start using them regularly until I had children. Of course, I made costumes for my children but eventually joined a group of friends in making Afrocentric Christmas ornaments. Back then you could not find ornaments that looked like us and wanted my children to have that confidence of being included as we celebrated Christmas and Kwanzaa. Within my website, I’ve included the Heritage Collection so that you also can create a cultural heritage for your family.
Over the years, family and friends have encouraged me to go further with an online presence.
My little shop was created with a lot of help. You find a different look in fabric and purpose. I only make a few of each style so if you see it and like it, I encourage you to buy it. I want my products to be unique and to you, the confidence that you won’t see a lot of people with the same ideas. So, take a peek and enjoy!
